Evil Forces in the World

Reflections on ''Evil Forces in the World,'' as well as occasional remarks concerning ''Good Forces in the World.''

Think about it carefuly. As Woody Allen said in Annie Hall, "I don’t want to live in any city where the only cultural
advantage is that you can make a right turn on a red light."
"Casey Johnson has moved there [Los Angeles] and even adopted a dog, Zöe, formerly of the Crips."

You know, that ain't a bad idea, and I don't mean adopting a gangster dog.

A Force of Evil: CNN's Christiane Amanpour. Someone should tell her that a half-truth is still a lie.

Another Force of Evil: 99. 5 WBAI-PACIFICA RADIO IN NEW YORK. Anti-semitic garbage. Today they broadcast a "sermon." Some cracker-brain minister whose name I didn't catch compared Israel to South Africa. Then he called for Syria and Lebanon to "join their Palestinian brothers to rise up and destroy that hotbed of opression that hangs off the coast of Haifa."

He conveniently forget that 1) Lebanon is basically occupied by Syria. 2) The Lebanese and Palestinians aren't exactly "brothers," considering how the Lebanese just looooved having a corner of their country turned into a nest for Palestinian terrorism. 3) Israel is a democratic state, stupid!

When you get down to it, either you think that Israel has the right to exist, or you don't. It's a matter of belief, not debate.
And frankly, I'm starting to develope a seige mentality too.

Foreign lifeguards?

There has been a marked decline in blogs. Blogger has been difficult of late, and so I'm going to try resolving the problem. I may have to shell out some of my hard-earned dough. We shall see.

I'll be back.
